DocuCraft uses two billing methods depending on the service type:

Dictation & Transcription Services (Speaker-Based Pricing)

You know the exact cost before we start. Pricing is based on the number of speakers in your audio. Includes BOTH transcription AND professional formatting - you receive a finished, ready-to-use document.

• 1 speaker: $2.25/minute
• 2 speakers: $2.50/minute
• 3+ speakers: $2.75/minute
• Minimum: $45 for all dictation services
• Priority Processing (next available business day): +25%

Example: 30-minute dictation with 1 speaker = 30 × $2.25 = $67.50 (complete finished document, ready to use)

All Other Services (Hourly Billing)

Document formatting (when you already have typed text), Excel, PowerPoint, PDF services are billed based on actual time worked:

• Rate: $45 per hour
• Minimum: 1 hour
• Billing: Rounded to nearest 15 minutes after first hour
• Time tracked through secure system

Example: Formatting existing typed text into legal pleading: 1 hour 17 minutes of work = 1.25 hours × $45 = $56.25

Revisions

Two rounds of normal revisions are included within 48 hours for all services. Errors on our part will be corrected at no charge if reported within 7 days. Additional revisions or changes to the original project scope will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

Why Two Methods?

Dictation services are priced per-minute because they're predictable - we transcribe your audio AND format it into a finished document. You know the exact total cost upfront.

Other services (formatting existing text, Excel work, PowerPoint, PDF services, etc.) vary greatly in complexity, so hourly billing based on actual verified work ensures fairness for both parties.

We accept multiple payment methods through Stripe, including credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers.

Payment terms are established during client onboarding and may vary by arrangement.

DocuCraft Services operates Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 11:30 PM CST. We are primarily a night word processing service.

If you submit a job before 4:00 PM, we'll review it that evening when we open at 4:00 PM, and your turnaround begins then.

For example: A job submitted Tuesday at 10:00 AM will be reviewed Tuesday at 4:00 PM, and the 3-5 business day turnaround starts at that time.

Jobs submitted before 4:00 PM may not be seen until after 4:00 PM that evening. For urgent assignments, contact us directly - arrangements may be possible on a case-by-case basis.

Turnaround depends on project complexity and current workload. Standard projects (simple letters, basic formatting, standard discovery) typically take 3-5 business days. Complex projects are quoted individually. See our Terms of Service for complete details.

Yes! Priority Processing delivers your project by the next available business day for an additional 25% fee. This option is available for most projects and can be selected during job submission.

We offer transcription, legal pleading formatting, academic thesis formatting, PDF services, Excel spreadsheet work, and PowerPoint creation. Visit our Services page for complete details.

We provide preparation transcripts - clean, readable transcripts for your internal use, review, and preparation:

• Dictation transcription + professional formatting
• Preparation transcripts of depositions, interviews, and meetings (NOT certified)
• Legal, business, and academic dictation
• Clean, readable transcripts in standard English

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: We do NOT provide certified court reporting or official legal transcripts for court filing. Our transcripts are for preparation, review, and internal use only - not for official court submission.

We do NOT offer:

• Certified court reporting services
• Official legal transcripts for court filing
• Strict verbatim transcription (we provide clean, readable transcripts)
• Timestamps or detailed speaker labels

We focus on data organization and basic spreadsheet formatting. Complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros are NOT included in our Excel services.

We focus on formatting and organization, not content creation or editing. We format your existing content professionally but don't create new content or make editorial changes.

Use our online intake form to submit your project details and upload files. You'll receive a Job ID for tracking.

We accept most common formats including Word documents, PDFs, audio files for transcription, Excel files, and more. Specific requirements vary by service.

Completed files are delivered via secure download link to the email address you provided.

Please note: If you require us to sign your NDA, you will be responsible for the actual cost of legal review by our attorney prior to signing. This ensures we fully understand all contractual obligations before agreeing to them.

Legal review fees are communicated upfront and billed at actual cost. Most NDA reviews are straightforward and reasonably priced.

If you require an NDA, no work will begin until the NDA has been reviewed and signed.
